Attract pollinators, including bees, butterflies and hummingbirds to your garden by planting what they love.

Presenter UC Master Gardener Arete Nicholas:  Arete has 15 years combined experience in Health Care Management. She is a Registered Nurse and an experienced Master Gardener who brings her passion for health and healing in the clinical setting to the garden settings under her watch. Arete graduated from the 2014 Master Gardening class and has an award-winning garden in San Francisco’s Noe Valley neighborhood. Her garden was featured on the 2014 Noe Valley Garden Tour and also won second place in the 2014 San Francisco Flowercraft Great Garden Contest. She currently volunteers as Vice President of San Mateo and San Francisco Counties Master Gardener Program and also serves as the Speaker Series Director. Her special interests are California native plants, growing old roses and herbs, and creating therapeutic gardens for patients and staff in healthcare settings. Arete received an M.A. in Gerontology and an R.N., B.S.N., and Ph.N. from San Francisco State University.

Directions:  Highway 101, Holly Street exit, Redwood Shores exit, left at Shoreway Road (stop light). The Lyngso first driveway is the entry for trucks, the second driveway is for outgoing vehicles, and the third driveway is the customer parking lot.  After you enter the sales office, the classroom is to your right at the end of the hallway.
