Herbs in the Garden

Healthy soil is the foundation of a healthy garden! In this free workshop, you’ll learn natural and sustainable techniques to create the healthiest soil possible for your plants and support the incredible diversity of microorganisms in the soil. In addition, you’ll get great tips on mulching and making compost tea.

About our expert UC Master Gardener Presenter: UC Master Gardener David Martinez is a horticulturist and has run his business Dig It Landscape & Gardening Service (www.digitorganic.com) for over 35 years. Dig It only promotes natural and organic gardening practices. Becoming a Master Gardener in 2010 has given David an outlet to share his knowledge for the garden environment, plants, and irrigation.

This class is offered in partnership with the UC Master Gardener Program of San Mateo & San Francisco Counties and the Redwood City Veterans Memorial Senior Center. This class is free but pre-registration is required.
