Event Description:  Learn how to turn kitchen scraps and yard waste into sweet-smelling compost to improve your clay garden soil and grow a bounty of healthy plants. Compost is one of the best things you can do for your garden.

Topics will include 1) What is Compost?  2) What to Add and Avoid  3) Adding to a Compost Pile  4) How to Build a Pile and Different Types of Piles  5) Troubleshooting and 6) Uses of Finished Compost.

Presenter MG Leslie Muennemann:  In addition to being a Master Gardener, Leslie is also a Master Composter. She has been making compost for the past 30 years, has five active composting bins, and makes use of it in her garden every day.
