Gardening for Pollinators
Creating Habitats for Bees, Butterflies and Hummingbirds! Who are our local pollinators? What are their basic needs and how can you provide those requirements? Join us for a fast-paced beginning class that covers everything you need to know to about attracting pollinators to your yard!
Presenter Master Gardener Cindy Burgdorf: Cindy has been a UC Master Gardener for 11 years. She has been gardening for 64 years (she started with cherry tomatoes in her Grandmother’s garden). On her 1 ½ acre property she has year-round vegetable gardens, gardens devoted to bees and butterflies, four bee hives, six chickens, a worm bin and six compost bins. Cindy's yard is a Monarch Waystation (Monarch Watch), certified Butterfly Garden (NABA), certified WildLife Habitat (NWF) and a certified Bee Friendly Garden.
Class Fee: $25. All proceeds support the school garden.
