The panel of experts are UC Master Gardeners/Master Composters, who will take your questions, photos & videos in advance of the seminar to be sure to address common and difficult issues during the seminar. Master Gardener Presenter Joe Lees: Joseph “Joe” Lees, Master Composter and Master Gardener, teaches composting techniques and theory at Foothill College and conducts community workshops, classes, and lectures to advance green principles using composting and sustainable gardening techniques throughout the Bay Area. Joe’s expertise continues to build on three decades of teaching, program management and systems development experiences.
Master Gardener Presenter Nancy Kruberg: Nancy Kruberg is a Master Gardener from San Diego County and a Master Composter from San Mateo County. She has studied microbes and composting with Dr. Elaine Ingham and has about 30 years experience with backyard composting.
Master Gardener Presenter Lisa Putnam: Lisa Putnam graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Agricultural Economics, first became a Master Gardener in 1999 in Sacramento County, then in 2009 in San Mateo County. Became a Master Composter in 2010. Teaches vegetable gardening, fruit tree care and composting at numerous venues in San Mateo County. Has an incredible love of soil and compost.
