Veterans Memorial Building (VMB) Rooftop Garden

The Veterans Memorial Building (VMB) Rooftop Garden has a tentative grand opening date of early 2025, which will feature a rooftop garden to be maintained by the San Mateo and San Francisco Counties Master Gardener Program. The VMB Rooftop Garden will provide a model for community members on environmentally sound and sustainable techniques and principles such as water-wise applications, drought-tolerant plantings and growing a variety of edible plants year-round. The UC Master Gardener Program of San Mateo and San Francisco Counties has partnered with the Redwood City Veterans Memorial Building for ten years to develop an educational program of regular gardening classes, along with a demonstration garden designed specifically for the local environment.
