Get ready for UC Master Gardener’s Giving Day! Show your support for the good work we do during this special 24-hour event, which runs from noon on Thursday, May 16 to noon on Friday, May 17.
Your gift will go even farther when you help us reach our goal of winning two challenge prizes of $500 each. On Giving Day, we will compete with all UC Master Gardener Chapters for-
- The Donor Challenge: $500 for the chapter with the highest number of donors.
- The In-It-To-Win-It Challenge: $500 for chapter who raises the highest total amount.

On Giving Day, there are two ways to support the good work we do:
The SMSF Master Gardener Fund, which goes directly into our operating budget and provides resources for our activities that bring great science-based gardening resources to the public.
The SMSF Master Gardener Endowment Fund, which was created to ensure the long-term financial stability of our chapter and creates dividends that flow back to our operating budget year after year.
Gifts to either fund are fully tax-deductible and count towards winning the challenges.
