Digitalis purpurea is a biennial or short-lived perennial plant. The leaves are spirally arranged, long, and broad covered with gray-white glandular hairs, with a woolly texture. Rosy buckwheat originates from the Channel Islands off the coast of California, and has red or pink flowers that bloom from June-October.
