Veterans Memorial Senior Center Garden

Veterans Memorial Senior Center Garden is currently closed for major renovations and new construction. The Center is expected to reopen in 2023-24, and the Master Gardeners will welcome the community back to our new garden where we will host classes, demonstrations, and more. Please check back here for updates as construction nears completion.

The garden provides a model for community members on environmentally sound and sustainable techniques and principles such as water-wise applications, drought-tolerant plantings and growing a variety of edible plants year-round.

The UC Master Gardener Program of San Mateo and San Francisco Counties has partnered with the Redwood City Veterans Memorial Senior Center to develop an educational program of regular gardening classes, along with a demonstration garden designed specifically for the local environment.
